Burger King leans on refranchising and global markets in Q3

Burger King Worldwide (BKW) owes its Q3 earnings beat in part to lower expenses which arose out of a company shift to more refranchised restaurants.

Though growth in the U.S. was far from spectacular, the fast-food chain grew comparable restaurants sales in Asia and Europe at a respectable rate.

BKW +0.7% premarket.
