Lawsuit aims to protect Jack Daniel's brand

Brown-Forman (BF.B, BF.A) launches legal action through a subsidiary against a Tennessee firm it says uses labeling and a bottle size too similar to that used by the Jack Daniel's brand.

The lawsuit seek the removal of the product from the market until changes are made.

The Jack Daniel's brand has become a global juggernaut over the last few years.

    This will be a close call by any court, there are only so many different size bottles, I would like to see the Jack Daniel's bottle side by side with the other. If the other is square in shape and has a black label, it is using that to gain sales, a crow in peacock's feathers so to speak.
