Avista acquires Alaska Energy in $170M deal

Avista (AVA) agrees to acquire privately-held Alaska Energy and Resources, the state's oldest regulated electric utility, for $170M.

AVA expects the addition to be slightly negative to earnings in 2014 and that it will contribute positively to earnings in 2015.
