French service sector continues to expand

French services PMI slipped to 50.9 (flash 50.2) in October from 51 in September.

The composite output was unchanged at 50.5 (50.1).

Employment in the services sector rose for the first time in one-and-a-half years and corporate expectations improved to the highest level since May 2012, although new business returned to contraction.

The data "point towards a stabilization of conditions in the sector," says Markit.

The CAC 40 (EWQ) is +0.75%. (PR)
