VimpelCom resumes slide, Citi downgrades shares but hikes PT

After rallying from a sharp drop in pre-market trading, VimpelCom (VIP -6.1%) shares are sliding again as the market digests the Russian telco's dismal Q3 results.

Paralleling the mixed signals in today's trading, Citi downgrades the stock to Neutral from Buy but hikes its PT to $14.80 from $11.90.

VIP will be loosing business and writing off more assets in Uzbekistan. Banks need to stop trying to prop up the stock and start looking into real state of VIPs problems.

There was an information in the Russian news today, that VIP may loose it's Uzbekistan subsidiary after local authorities filed a tax evasion charges, just like they did to MBT (Russian MTS operator, which resulted in almost 1 billion loss) . This is some serious issue.
