Amazon reveals Bezos unloaded a million shares in Q3

Amazon (AMZN -0.8%) CEO Jeff Bezos sold a million shares of AMZN in early November.

Though only a minor portion of the exec's total holdings of Amazon, the sales mark the most shares he's unloaded in three years.

Agree. Bezos sold 350,000 shares at Nov. 1, 350,000 shares at Nov. 4 and 300,000 shares at Nov. 5. So totally a 1,000,000 shares in three days.

Why not? Stock just hit all time highs without any backup outside of revenue growth. 360 million is quite nice. Amusingly 1 million shares sold had pretty much 0 impact on the price on average volume of 2.5 million a day.

Bezos has made more money selling shares over the past few 5 or 6 years than Amazon has made it's entire existence in profit. Must be nice!

The money to buy the Washington Post for sure.

I believe the most profitable business that Amazon gets involved in is selling its stocks.

The point I was making was that the editor's misinterpreted the form 4 report which has to be filed within 2 DAYs of insider transactions with once a quarter institutional filings disclosing transactions with substantial time delay.
