Rumor of bullish Yellen remarks may be boosting stocks


Just maybe giving a bid to equities in afternoon action is loose chatter of Janet Yellen's prepared remarks for tomorrow's Senate confirmation hearing being released this evening ... and that those remarks are bullish for stocks. Neither the Fed nor a spokesman for the Senate Banking Committee would comment on the speculation.

The S&P 500 (SPY +0.5%) is more than 1% above its earlier lows.

    headlines will read, " Stocks up on speculation of continued QE "followed by "gold down on speculation of FED Taper"...

     

    Seems to be the latest back to back headlines from Bloomberg daily.
