Chevron issues statement on Texas pipeline incident

Chevron (CVX +0.5%) says one of its pipelines exploded in Texas, and it has initiated emergency response procedures; the small town of Milford, ~50 miles south of Dallas, is being evacuated.

Earlier reports had speculated that the pipeline belonged to Kinder Morgan (KMI, KMP).

That pipeline didn't explode from maintenance negligence. Somebody drilling in the area pierced the pipeline.
