Samsung snubs Qualcomm. Samsung has begun making its own WiMAX and LTE baseband chips for wireless handsets, which puts it on Qualcomm's (QCOM) turf, in an effort to eliminate some of its royalty payments, and reduce the costs of its mobile phones.
