Logitech launches iPhone game controller, pricing could limit sales

Logitech's (LOGI) anticipated iPhone game controller, known as the PowerShell, sells for $100 on Bestbuy.com and Apple's online store. (PR)

As expected, the device wraps around an iPhone, giving it a PS Vita-like look. It contains a 1,500 mAh battery that can power the iPhone itself, and already supports a handful of titles, including MetalStorm Aces and Fast & Furious 6.

With many mobile gamers accustomed to paying very little for games, and $200 or less for the iPhone itself (after factoring subsidies), the PowerShell's price could make it a tough sell. That, in turn, could affect the amount of support developers show for it.
