Markel with $300M buyback authorization

The program replaces one initially authorized in 2010 under which Markel (MKL) repurchased about $101M of company stock (market cap is $7.6B). CIO Tom Gaynor clearly typically has better uses for cash and will reserve any buybacks for those rare times when the stock is trading beneath book value.
