Lockhart comments send Treasury prices higher

  • The Fed will taper "when the economy is ready and when the market is ready," Atlanta Fed chief Dennis Lockhart tells CNBC (does that mean never?). Anticipated faster growth in 2013 did not materialize, he says, but the blown forecast doesn't stop him from quickly making another: He expects growth will pick up in 2014.
  • He reiterates the stance that tapering does not equal tightening. "We've been trying to get across that view and it's not been broadly accepted ... we are going to remain accommodative for quite some time, in all likelihood for a number of years." The mix of tools, however, may change.
  • His comments have goosed Treasury prices, with the 10-year yield dropping 2 basis points to 2.77%. TLT +0.4%, TBT -1.1%.

Tapering will end when it is politically more damaging to do it than the future profits from that point on to the banks from being able to sell their mortgages to you for an inflated price. The Fed is a stock corporation with the stock held by banks, so they will protect the shell game at all costs. As soon as the risk of abolition of the Fed rises, tapering will begin. Otherwise, the cartel will milk us, their cow.

QE is not a stupid policy. It is the best scam they have ever pulled. Stupid for us? Absolutely, but we don't own any stock. The banker's cartel a/k/a Fed needs to go. It's either them or us.

Baby boomers with decades of real, solid industrial experience retiring, being "right sized" or just dying off.

    ...being replaced with...

Robots, poorly trained youngsters, or non-Americans in countries that aren't America.

No real recovery means no chance of taper.
