Kearny (KRNY) announces the completion of its plan to buy back 5% of the float and announces a new plan for another 5% - 762K shares.

    These buy backs by Krny are positioning the company to be an attractive acquisition target by another S & L that is partially or fully owned by depositors. ( i.e. Isbc purchase of Roma at a 60% premium )
