Molycorp turns green as CEO sees positive cash flow by late 2014/early 2015

  • Molycorp (MCP +2.8%) shares pop higher on heavy volume as Swiss publication Finanz und Wirtschaft features an interview with CEO Constantine Karayannopoulos, who says the company will be cash flow positive by the end of 2014 or the beginning of 2015.

    I don't think they can die, since China controls most of the planet's rare earth elements. As I understand it, the minerals MCP controls are of strategic (defense) value as well as commercial.

    Nautor42, I agree. But MCP will in wallow in the mud waiting for the value of REM to go up or their costs to go down. It will be a matter of having patience, waiting for the recovery or the takeover by their major stockholder.

    They are surviving if they are able to reduce operating costs (like gas produces for example), but stocks will bounce only if RE are bouncing...anyway I'm very bullish on US growth.
