I would be hesitant about these type of predictions. Will growth in state owned and/or subsidized Middle East airlines grow independently, or will it steal more traffic from the hapless European heavily taxed airlines (A Tale of Two Airline Industries-Government Taxed vs. Government Supported)? A quick primer of the US Shipping Industry in the 1960's to today is depressing if you are an American. China too, is an anachronism: Communism is a closed system, doomed to fail. Does it shed communism or become more authoritarian? Expanding its airspace to cover heretofore Japanese/Korean Islands is a negative portent. Remember Japan in the '80s? they were going to overtake the US as the #1 industrialized power. As a pilot, our weather reports for the next 24 hours are often incorrect; however, there are some weather professors at the University of East Anglia that can predict global warming out 50 years! I would not use this report as analytic data in my investment decisions. News Flash - Do your own research.
