Whirlpool to move some production to the U.S. from Mexico

Whirlpool (WHR -1.7%) plans to move some production to the U.S. from Mexico in a move that the company says it expects will help it save money even with wages higher on the north side of the border.

Front-loading washing machines will be the focus of the production shift, say company officials.

I'm beginning to believe these moves are political. I would like to read more on this. Or it just may be the news media making it look like more companies are bringing back some Manufacturing. Kind of reminds me when I lived in California. The news always had more stories about companies moving into the state then companies moving out. Even though the reverse is true.
