Global futures orders strong at Nike

Nike (NKE) reports global futures orders rose 12% in FQ2 compared to 8% last quarter and 6% a year ago.

Gross margin as a percentage of sales for the company topped expectations, rising 140 bps to 43.9% on a favorable product mix.

Revenue at Converse was up 11% to $360M, while the Nike brand saw a 9% gain to $6.1B.
