Target offers customers 10% weekend discount

As a goodwill/PR gesture in the wake of its massive credit/debit card breach, Target (TGT) is offering weekend visitors to its U.S. stores a 10% discount on purchases.

Target also says it will offer credit monitoring services to reassure nervous customers.

The gesture is nice until you read the fine print. More of a shameless self-promotion plug than than an attempt to reconcile the incident.

10% is no discount. Do they get a credit card with that like all other promotions from other stores that offer 10%. LOL. I am not a fan of target by any means, they are overpriced and 2 of the 20+ lanes open at all times.

Can't help margins on the next quarterly report.

Not like WMT needed help, but I'll take it. Long WMT.
