American Capital repurchased 3.2% of float in Q4

Open market purchases of about 8.9M shares represent 3.2% of the outstanding stock as of September 30. The average purchase price was $14.88, putting the total cost at $132.5M.

Since 2011 Q3, the company has bought back 26.9% of the float at an average price of $11.39 each - accretive to book value by $1.69 per share.

Net asset value as of September 30 was $19.54 per share.

    At this rate they should be able to pay nearly $3/share each year by the time the buyback switches over to a dividend. Great stuff, still undervalued
