Latest Target headache: some gift cards not activated properly

Target (TGT), already slammed by one of the largest ever payment-data security breaches in U.S. retail history, says some of the gift cards it sold over the holiday season were not activated properly.

TGT promises to honor the gift cards and says fewer than 0.1% of the cards sold during the busy season were affected.

"It's another black eye that makes you question the internal operating procedures of Target," says Belus Capital's Brian Sozzi, adding TGT "can't afford to lose any more confidence among its guests."
