Government proposes two new gun-control regulations

The White House has proposed two gun control regulations that the government doesn't need Congress' approval for.

One measure would clarify who isn't allowed to own a firearm because of mental illness and would provide guidance to states about the information they can share with a federal database that dealers use to check whether a buyer is allowed to purchase a gun.

However, mental health advocates fear that the regulations could stop those who are unwell from seeking treatment for fear that their illness would be added to federal records.

The other proposal would eliminate obstacles that could stop states from supplying information to the database.

Agreed. Long SWHC, and I love it when the current administration ramps up gun control measures. It only fuels sales, and increases firearm-related stock prices.

Since these are proposals that don't have to be approved by Congress, who does have the authority to approve them, and is there any oversight on those who do the approving?

Hence the problem. The President is responsible for enforcing the laws that have already passed.
The laws have been passed long ago. Now he gets to interpret them and enforce them to his advantage or desire.... if you will.
It all depends on what the definition of the word IS, IS.... to coin a phrase....

Get your guns and ammo while you still can...folks..

Anyone who believes that we live in a free society is out of his mind.
This liberal president and all the left-wing nut jobs we have won't be happy
until every last gun is out of the hands of us all.
All except the government and the criminals, that is!
    Welcome to the USSR.
