Business was brisk for HFF in 2013

HFF, Inc. (HF -0.2%) transaction volume for 2013 is estimated at $55B over roughly 1.6K deals, both record highs for the company. The volume is 33% higher than 2012's total and the number of deals 18% higher.

Debt placement volume of $28B is up 19% Y/Y, and combined investment sales, equity placement, structured finance, and loan sales volume of $28B is up about 53%.

The commercial loan servicing portfolio balance of $33B on 2.3K loans is up 8% from a year ago.

The stock rose right along with these big numbers last year, gaining nearly 75%. It's more than a 20-bagger since the March 2009 market low.
