GM sees double-digit pace of sales growth in China

General Motors (GM) sold 271,002 vehicles in China during December, up 13% from last year's level.

For the year, GM sold 3.16M vehicles in China across a wide variety of brands as it carved out more market share on a growth rate of 11.4%.

The automaker notes it made the gains despite a "modest" slowdown in demand for commercial vehicles in the region.
