Futures climb; stocks look to break string of new year losses

S&P 500 (SPY) and DJIA (DIA) futures climb 0.35% and Nasdaq 100 (QQQ) futures gain 0.45% as stocks look to break a 3-day string of declines to start the year.

The Stoxx 50 is ahead 0.9% at midday in Europe, and Asia was little-changed overnight.

The 10-year Treasury yield is flat at 2.96%, as is gold at $1,238 per ounce.
