Comcast full of surprises at investor conference

Execs with Comcast (CMCSA +2.4%) presented today at an investor conference with their update positive enough to give shares a nice little lift.

The highlight was the proclamation from CEO Brian Roberts that Comcast "modestly" grew its TV customer base for the first time in 26 quarters during Q4.

Demonstrations on the company's Xfinity X1 and X2 services also impressed the crowd with new features that appear to be disruptive. The voice-activated remote control and menu layout options both stood out to media analysts on the scene.
