Futures nicely higher ahead of jobs number

Stock index futures have decided the 8:30 ET jobs number will be a pleasing one, the S&P 500 +0.4% and Nasdaq 100 +0.6%.

Europe's up nearly 1% and Asia was little-changed overnight.

The 10-year Treasury yield is unchanged at 2.97%, and gold is up 0.3% to $1,232 per ounce. Crude oil takes a break from its steep slide, up 1% to $92.61.
