Belus Capital cools on Starbucks

Belus Capital Advisers downgrades Starbucks (SBUX) to a Hold rating from Buy on concerns the company could stumble just a bit in 2014.

Analyst Brian Sozzi thinks operational issues at stores have cropped up enough to cut into sales and efficiency.

The firm slashes its price target on the company to $75 from $90.

Why would anyone listen to some one who waits for the stock to hit $75 to say they see it going there. Wasted space

    Heard sozzi yesterday on cnbc.
A pathetic "negative argument" with no meat nor meaning.

For example he said:"when a clerk has to come from behind the counter to get you a pastry, that's not good" !
Imo, that's called SERVICE and being BUSY.
Both are fundamentals of Profitability and Growth.

This was a "call" simply made to put the analyst and his company ( who the hell is belus and sozzi anyway ? and who cares ?) in the news.

    They got their 15 minutes.....
    It Backfired !

This is old news all over CNBC and every website from yesterday. btw Sozzi is a junior analyst who completely ignored all of SBUX other businesses, retail, K-Cup etc focusing on a single myopic factor.

The guy has to make a living saying something that was already said a week ago by another analyst. Let him be.
If these people were sure about what they say then they would not be here trying to earn a living wage, They would be rich and gone.

Yeah, Starbucks has great coffee, great leadership, great customer service, warm and friendly shops (not to mention North America is currently having a brutal winter), a very cool phone app and ideas like gift cards in little meaningless markets like China....yep sounds like a downgrade rating to me for sure.
