- A federal appeals court's decision to strike down the FCC's net neutrality rules has provided a lift to Allot's (ALLT +1.9%) shares.
- By prohibiting wireline carriers from giving preferential treatment to different types of data traffic, net neutrality rules have hurt U.S. sales of Allot's deep packet inspection hardware.
- The ruling could also benefit Allot rival Procera (PKT -0.2%), which issued a Q4 warning a week ago. But Procera gets a larger portion of its sales from mobile carriers, for whom the FCC's rules don't apply.
- Update (11:21AM): Allot is now up 7.4%, and Procera is up 6.2%.
