ShopperTrak reports retail sales up over 5% in January


ShopperTrak reports retail sales increased 3.5% Y/Y for the week ending January 11, 2014 as gift card redemptions and some late holiday season bargain-hunting stoked demand.

The month-to-date gain in retail sales is 5.2%, which includes a period with weather significantly worse than what was seen a year ago for a wide portion of the U.S.
