WD Q4 volume above midpoint of guidance

Walker & Dunlop (WD) loan origination volume in Q4 of $2.3B compares to guidance of $1.5B-$3B. For all 2013, volume of $8.4B was 18% higher than 2012.

The company notes it achieved this growth even as Fannie and Freddie posted origination caps last year. The GSEs ended up accounting for just 53% of company originations in 2013, down from 71% in 2012.
