Futures point to gains at the open

Stock index futures point to opening gains as equities - despite a big slump on Monday - look to close out the week with gains. Helping is a 1.3% gain in GE after reporting earnings a few minutes ago.

Europe's up moderately and Asia was somewhat lower overnight, led by a near-1% decline in Shanghai.

The 10-year Treasury yield is flat at 2.85%, as is gold at $1,240 per ounce.
