- The mudslinging between Jos. A. Bank (JOSB) and activist investor Eminence Capital got worse this week with new lawsuits filed each way.
- Lawyers for Jos. A. Bank questioned in a filing the timing of stock purchases made by Eminence Capital right before the company announced it would try to buy Men's Wearhouse (MW).
- In a separate suit, Eminence is trying to block efforts by Jos. A. Bank to purchase another company - a transaction which would leave its powder keg dry.
