Reuters: GE unit close to ordering 40 Boeing 737 jets

GE (GE) aircraft-leasing unit GECAS is close ordering around 40 Boeing (BA) medium-haul jets in a deal that could be worth $4B at list prices, Reuters reports.

The booking may include 737-800 jets and the more fuel-efficient 737 MAX aircraft.

    Boeing has years of backorders
They are leaders in the fuel efficient space (with the help of GE)
The 787 and 777 are "ahead of the competition"

    What's not ot like?

Why doesn't GE just purchase used 737-800 and 737-MAX?

There are several major airliners that are mothballing their entire 737 line in favor of the bigger, wider, safer and more fuel efficient A320?

Oh. I forgot. GE has money to waste on frivolous spending.

    Hahaha!!

the 737 you mention are very old also the a320 version 1 is not as efficient as the 737 max.

your knowledge of GE and aircraft is old and stale.

    GE leases over 1000 aircraft

    are you shorting GE?
