Air of caution builds with Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart (WMT -1.4%) sees more selling pressure build with more signs out in the retail sector that the company's Q4 earnings report could disappoint.

The increased shift by consumers to e-commerce amid tough weather conditions in December and January doesn't play to Wal-Mart's strengths, note analysts.

Retail watchers on top of the coupon scene also sense more desperation out of Bentonville with this year's batch of post-Christmas deals.
