Liquidity Services jumps after scoring DoD surplus contract extension

Liquidity Services (LQDT +6.5%) has obtained a 10-month extension (starts Feb. 14), along with two one-month additional option periods, for its surplus property auction contract with the DoD. The company's beaten-down shares have jumped in response.

Liquidity won a 12-month extension of its DoD scrap auction contract last month. There have been plenty of concerns about the future of Liquidity's surplus and scrap deal, both with regards to extensions and deal terms.
