Toyota remains top dog; eyes 10M+ sales in 2014

Toyota's (TM) sales increased 2% to 9.98M vehicles in 2013, enabling the Japanese company to maintain its crown as the world's largest carmaker for the second year in a row, ahead of GM and Volkswagen.

With Toyota benefiting from the weaker yen, the firm forecasts that sales in 2014 will pass 10M for the first time and rise to 10.32M. It will increase output by 3% to 10.43M. (PR)
