LiveDeal announces 3-for-1 split


LiveDeal (LIVE +2.3%) announces a three-for-one forward stock split.

The new shares will be distributed after the close on February 11 to record holders as of February 3.

    This is really bizarre. This would put their stock under $5. Most co's prefer to have their stock over $5 because some mutual funds will not buy stocks under $5. The only possible reason I can think of is they want to make the stock "look cheap" to uneducated investors.

    I'd agree. I've done lots of research on this company and it ultimately looks like a pump-n-dump. This move just adds to the list of questionable things about the company.
