Heard during Comcast's earnings call

Management with Comcast (CMCSA) painted a bright picture of sales growth momentum across segments during the firm's earnings call this morning.

Impressive double-digit growth with broadcast TV revenue was due in part to strong ratings at NBC for key shows and improving retransmission revenue, say execs. The early look at Q1 looks good with ad sales for the Sochi Olympics at record levels.

Total revenue per video customer rose 6.8% to $164 per month, but even more upside is possible as HD and/or DVR options are expanded.

Theme parks saw per capita spending improve, helped by new park initiatives.

Questions regarding the potential sale of Time Warner Cable and Comcast's involvement were deferred to a later date
