Organic sale impress at Colgate-Palmolive

  • Colgate-Palmolive (CL) announces it grew global volume by 6.5% in Q4 as it kept pricing level.
  • The company saw organic sales rise 6.5% during the period (double P&G 's recent rate). Asia was on the high end with a 9% increase in organic sales.
  • Gross profit margin rate improved 50 bps to 58.9% as cost savings initiatives helped to offset an increase in raw and packaging materials.
  • Market share was picked up in the U.S. in key categories as several new product launches from Colgate-Palmolive went well.
