Mortgage rates slide, 30-year fixed falls to 4.32%


Fixed mortgage rates moved lower again, according to the latest weekly survey from Freddie Mac, as recent housing market data signaled weakening sales and prices.

The average rate for a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage fell to 4.32%, hitting the lowest level since November, from 4.39% in the prior week; a year ago, the rate was at 3.53%.

The average rate for the 15-year fixed fell to 3.40% in the latest week from 3.44% in the prior week.
