    Stock market seems underdamped.
What are the causes of this I wonder?

So, everyone was crying about the lack of tapering and they asked for tapering to begin A.S.A.P, now that the tapering is here everyone is crying about it and they want it to stop, is that right? If it is then the human kind really needs to get their s*it together!

I think these are different sets of people.

I'm thrilled when the market sinks- as I am very well bear positioned.

If QE ends before the end of 2014, I'm set to do very well. Others, perhaps not.

Unfortunatelly for you this is maybe just another correction. It may not be a minor correction, but still I think it's just a correction.Anyway, I am just guessing and I really don't care a lot, because I am happy with my investments and I don't mind the daily movements in the indexes and stocks.

    Good luck with your trading.

    Sorry for my English

I noticed in the news yesterday that scientists discovered Neanderthal DNA in modern human genes. Seems that our fragile brains are still evolving. All the more reason to play this game from both sides. Will harvest some short gains today, and perhaps plant some long seeds.

Even with what little "correction" has taken place, stocks are still heavily overbought. I expect the tapering to continue no matter what the stock market does because the Fed really has no choice at this point. If they reverse course now, they lose all credibility and you can expect to see a mad rush to the exits. We transferred a lot of gold from GLD and IAU to China last year and that flow is now abating. From here on out the Fed gets squeezed between the upward pressure on the price of gold and the upward pressure on interest rates and the Federal government debt. Any attempt to continue the monetization of that debt will cause a complete dollar collapse.
