WisdomTree will launch the first floating rate treasury ETF on Tuesday

During the WisdomTree (WETF) Management call earlier today it was revealed that the WisdomTree Bloomberg Floating Rate Treasury Fund (USFR) will begin trading on Tuesday, February 4th.

It is set to track the Federal Floating Rate Notes, the first new security the Treasury has introduced since the launch of TIPS 20 years ago.

Luciano Siracusano, Chief Investment Strategist at WisdomTree, stated on the call: "we think that's going to have a great appeal across channels for investors who want to invest in treasuries but also get a floating rate that will reset as interest rates rise."

As this is the first ETF to track the new security, there are currently no similar funds to compare USFR to.
