CN Rail reaches tentative agreement to avert strike

Canadian National Railway (CNI) and unionized workers struck a tentative deal late Wednesday, narrowly averting a strike that stood to disrupt shipments of crude and grain across Canada.

News of the deal came after Canada's government said it was preparing legislation to prevent the strike.
