DT takes full ownership of Czech mobile unit for $1.09B

Deutsche Telekom (DTEGY, DTEGF) is buying out P-E firm Mid Europa Partners' 39.23% minority stake in the carrier's Czech mobile unit for €800M ($1.09B).

DT asserts the deal complements its efforts to integrate its Czech IT services business (T-Systems Czech Republic), and its pending acquisition of Central European wireline carrier GTS Group. It comes four months after Telefonica struck a deal to sell its Czech unit to local tycoon Petr Kellner.
