Report: Comcast agrees to buy Time Warner Cable for $159/share

Comcast (CMCSA) agrees to pay $159 a share to purchase Time Warner Cable (TWC), sources tell Bloomberg.

The deal price is only a dollar less than what TWC asked Charter (CHTR) to pony up.

The acquisition is expected to be announced tomorrow.

As an consumer with already pitiful broadband choices, I hope they don't. A merger between America's most hated company and the one that probably would be most hated if they had Comcast's scale? Kill me now.

I like my NFLX...this move would be very bad for consumers, likely much much worse than the proposed AT&T - T Mobile merger.
