Netflix confluence: Massive snowstorm and House of Cards season two

Netflix (NFLX +1.8%) debuts House of Cards at midnight tonight amid a massive snowstorm which could boost interest.

The company won't release any ratings numbers, but some media analysts think the tightened controls on sharing subscriber credentials and limited number of viewing devices per household could create some House of Cards adds to the company's subscriber count.

And the TWC Comcast deal is an absolute killer for NFLX - it would give the bigger entity all kinds of power of the purse and encourage greater investment andd marketing of their own streaming services. I don't get how anyone believes NFLX is not very risky considering they own nothing but subs who will fly in a minute for a better deal; They keep buying more and more expensive content - but you can't buy prime beef at 20$ pound and sell steaks at 10$ pound and stay in business. I do not get how anyone of integrity values this company correctly at 300x earnings.

It isn't a threat to Netflix because Comcast hates its customers almost as much as its shareholders. The Comcast MONOPOLY is only a threat to consumers (not NFLX) because CEO Brian Roberts is a tool of Barack Obama and does whatever Obama wants to the detriment of shareholders and customers; which may explain why Brian Roberts ignores the ongoing pleas of millions of Comcast customers who want, say, The Blaze News Network.

Roberts gives those customers the one finger salute by instead FORCING customers to pay for Al Jazeera and Al Sharpton. (Obama's top bundler and golfing buddy).

I am a very disgruntled Comcast customer. I have no choice but to pay for the garbage because my home-owners association has a contract with the odious company. I am working on stopping that in the future. A company can only get away with abusing its customers and shareholders for so long. If they respected their customers and shareholders in the way Reed Hastings does, this company would be approaching a Trillion dollar market cap.
<... long as shareholders continue to allow this fiduciary abuse of sharehoilders and customers, Reed Hastings has NOTHING about which to be concerned.
<... you think I'm kidding, go to the Comcast Twitter page on any given day and read the comments by their own customers. This Board is criminal for allowing this destruction to continue.
<... Management CHOOSES to Undermine Company through Subscriber Attrition"

It is interesting that so much attention is being given to one series. There are actually many good series and movies on Netflix.
