Heard during Burger King Worldwide's earnings call

  • Execs say new menu items at Burger King (BKW +0.5%) are contributing to top-line results.
  • The Big King sandwich, Satisfries, and the $1 BBQ Rib Sandwich all helped to drive store traffic on sustained demand.
  • A fresh branding look for the company is still a top priority. By 2015, Burger King expects 40% of its outlets to have the modern BKW image. Restaurants with the new look have seen a 10% to 15% boost in sales which makes the average $300K-$350K capex spend easier to digest.
