A Norfolk Southern (NSC -1.2%) train carrying heavy Canadian crude oil derailed and spilled in western Pennsylvania earlier today, adding to a string of recent crude-by-rail accidents.

Nineteen derailed cars were carrying oil, four of which spilled 3K-4K gallons of oil, and two derailed cars held liquefied petroleum gas; the leaks have since been plugged.

There were no reports of injury or fire.
