Union Pacific Chairman passes away

Union Pacific (UNP) Chairman and former CEO James Young has died following a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Young was CEO from November 2005 until March 2012 and became Chairman in January 2007.

Union Pacific's board now plans to elect a successor. (PR)

    I hold stock in more than a few corporations, but UP is the only one I refer to as "My" company, thanks in no small part to Mr. Young's leadership. Thank you for Building America. Rest in Peace.
