Thai PM charged by anti-corruption panel over rice subsidy

Thailand's anti-corruption panel has filed charges against Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra over rice subsidies, saying that she could have prevented substantial losses in the program.

Shinawatra faces impeachment if she is found guilty.

The panel's move comes amid more violent anti-government protests that have left at least three dead in Bangkok.

The SET stock index is -0.4%, while the USD-THB is +0.7% at 32.453 Thai Baht.
